Chandini Portteus is a seasoned visionary and inspirational CEO who instills confidence in partners, investors, clients, and global constituents. Her well known rise to high profile roles as a female executive earned her a seat in the boardroom of household name brands while still in her 20's. She was Susan G. Komen’s youngest seated and longest tenured C-level officer, hand selected as the turnaround president and CEO of Livestrong, and as the growth CEO to scale Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer. By her twenties and thirties, she oversaw more than $2B in investment in various mission initiatives across biotech, clinical trials, basic research, community outreach, education, technology, public policy, and global programming. Her established credibility is rooted in her demonstrated success during some of the most challenging setbacks and historically public scandals. An external facing crisis leader during and after controversy, she led her teams forward boldly in resource limited environments, exceeding financial targets. In that decade, she oversaw a daily portfolio of $500M in research, public policy, and programming across 125 domestic affiliates and work in 33 countries. Chandini worked collaboratively with bipartisan leadership to successfully bring $6B to Texas for cancer funding. She served as an advisor for the state, federally, and globally on post-presidency public health initiatives such as the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) for 12 years. She has worked extensively with the Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, President’s Cancer Panel, and many others. Through her Advisory Firm, Chandini starts and scales ventures, leads global mergers and acquisitions, recruits well known industry experts, and ensures excellence in execution through high performing teams. A highly regarded globally recognized fundraiser, she is a relationship builder and collaborator with more than 450 corporate partners. She relates to the hurdles her fellow CEOs face, and seeks to provide solutions at scale through a suite of software platforms as tools to power mission delivery and data to drive change. Chandini's most rewarding and primary role is being a mother to her four school aged children, twin boys and two girls. They were her first investors, and her driving passion for the creation of her bespoke technology firm and the consistent motivation for the global launch of her portfolio company. As an immigrant, a female of color executive, and a single parent, Chandini has faced numerous obstacles that have trained her patience and honed her skills as a leader. .
