It is why she treats each of her clients—whether they be a first-time home buyer, a private seller, or a multi-million dollar developer—as a genuine partner, using her vast wealth of knowledge and experience to guide them in a way that makes sense for their diverse lifestyles and goals.


Sara Golan is an immigrant from Guyana who grew up in Bushwick, Brooklyn, and like many New Yorkers, she enjoys the diversity of the city and its people. Sara‘s background has helped her connect with a diverse group of real estate clients and maintain a strong referral network by converting transactions into relationships. Sara is an experienced broker with extensive industry knowledge and a proven track record of bringing added value to her clients.


Honesty and integrity matter most to Sara, and she aims to make each client’s real estate experience seamless. Her patience and in-depth understanding of the market have earned her accolades from the many clients she has worked with over the years.


For almost a decade, Sara has focused on residential sales in multiple Brooklyn neighborhoods where she works with buyers, sellers, and developers. Her role as co-manager/broker of Ryan Serhant’s Brooklyn office has been an intense study and growth in luxury real estate. As a Brooklyn brownstone specialist, her expertise in design. construction management plus the ability to sell in the current challenging climate are invaluable assets.


Sara knew early on that she had a passion for real estate. It was the beautiful townhouses and row houses in her Brooklyn neighborhood that first sparked that interest. She followed her passion, starting her professional career as an assistant to a real estate developer and investor in Queens and Brooklyn, where she gained extensive construction, management, and sales knowledge. To better understand as many aspects of real estate as possible, Sara also spent five years as a closing manager in the lending industry, gaining valuable experience in mortgages and the home financing process. She then went on to become an owner/ partner in a real estate development office where she not only invested in projects but sold and managed their private portfolio.


Giving back is very important! Sara is involved in a number of charities and is on the Committee Board of Bedford Stuyvesant Von King Park Conservancy. She has received several honors, including the 2019 Brownstoner RADD Award, StreetEasy Essys Community Champion Award and Women of Influence Award by Guyanese Girls Rock plus several Citations from the City of New York.

Sara holds a degree in sociology from Queens College CUNY. She is a Mom of two teens. Sara is passionate about food and travel - she is also an investor at Olmsted, a Michelin rated restaurant in Prospect Heights. Most recently, she invested in a new travel start up, KOALA, poised to be the Airbnb of the timeshare Industry. For relaxation she enjoys cooking, yoga and Pilates.
